No. This is a skill-development course rather than a licensing course. Students should review the current course requirements before registering.
Is this the same as Delaware CCDW training?
No. Delaware CCDW is a licensing-related training course. Basic Defensive Handgun I is intended to continue developing practical handgun skills beyond basic ownership or permit training.
Will I draw from a holster in this course?
The primary focus is foundational defensive handgun skill development. Dedicated draw-stroke and carry-system training is addressed more fully in Holster Fundamentals. Review the current session description for exact course drills.
Do I need my own handgun?
